South Carolina Founding Convention

On June 13, South Carolina has became the newest state affiliate of the Alliance for Retired Americans, receiving its formal charter before a crowd of almost 50 activists at a founding convention. The South Carolina Alliance for Retired Americans (SCARA) works with the national Alliance to create a powerful statewide network of union and community-based retiree organizations. The organization is committed to building a strong grassroots organization and will be a valuable source of leaders and activists who will work together on legislative issues important to seniors.
